Stunning Alpine view

It may take you a moment to realise what you are looking at – because that white, light and fluffy looking view behind the mountain top isn’t cloud or mist, but an enormous glacier high up in the alps. Once your brain has registered that, you can settle down to spotting the difference between the two photos. In the foreground is the summit of Männlichen (2,343 metres), which you can reach by cable car from Grindelwald or Wengen. The flag ought to tell you we are in Switzerland, but you may not know that these are the Bernese Alps, or that from Männlichen’s summit you can take the “apple tart path” to Alpiglen (I’m not making this up – it’s called ‘Öpfelchüechliweg’ in Swiss/German.) Happy difference-spotting!
